How to View Bus Routes on Google Maps

Image
Public transit is one of the most important parts of an environmentally minded city, and supporting our local bus systems is an incredible way to get into an environmental mindset. Factoring alternate transportation into your travel is very simple -- just turn on viewing bus stops on Google Maps! Step 1: Tap the black pages symbol under the search bar. Step 2: Tap on "public transit" under "map details." You can also enable cycling paths! Step 3: Tap out of the menu, and you'll be able to see all of the bus and metro stops in your area! Note: You can do the same on the desktop version by hovering over the "layers" image in the bottom left corner.

Welcome to Teens for Transit!

Hello! Teens for Transit SC is a grassroots environmentalist project based in Charleston, South Carolina dedicated to improving public transit in South Carolina. Our main focus is currently on Charleston County and the Tri-County Area, but we plan to expand our reach as we gain more members. We are currently in our beta phase and our primary focus is on improving our outreach. Once we leave beta we will focus on improving quality of bus stops by collecting, building, and repairing outdoor benches and donating them to the city. We are not affiliated with CARTA, Tri-County Link, or any other local transit system. Interested in helping out? We need all sorts of talents, especially woodworkers and welders to repair benches. We are also looking for people willing to help with outreach, people with knowledge of bus systems to play an advisory role, and just people willing to donate and sign petitions! You can contact us at teens4transitsc@gmail.com, or join our newsletter at  https:...
